Practical routes from Pudong
A simple local guide to Shanghai
Plan the places that matter most, leave enough travel time and use Century Avenue as your main transfer point.
Start from Tangqiao Station
Metro Line 4 gives you a direct route around central Shanghai and an easy transfer to Line 2 for Lujiazui, East Nanjing Road and Pudong attractions.

The Bund and Lujiazui
For The Bund, take Line 4 to Century Avenue, transfer to Line 2 and leave at East Nanjing Road. Walk about five minutes toward the riverfront.
For the Oriental Pearl Tower and Shanghai Tower, leave Line 2 at Lujiazui. The landmarks are within walking distance of the station.
Yu Garden and Old City
Take Line 4 to South Xizang Road, transfer to Line 8 for Laoximen, then Line 10 to Yuyuan Garden.
This route has multiple transfers, so allow half a day and avoid rushing it between other attractions.
Family day trips
For Shanghai Science and Technology Museum, transfer from Line 4 to Line 2 at Century Avenue.
Shanghai Disney Resort is farther east. Leave early and plan a full day for the visit.
